About Me
ABOUT ME
I've been living in Vancouver for 7 years after growing up in a small town in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. I studied Physical Education and Biology am now teaching English and Social Studies at a Vancouver High school - funny how that works out.
I originally moved to the city to pursue music and have been able to play in multiple semi-lucrative, wholly thrilling groups.
I've been happily living with my partner Emma and we are heading on our first trip together after each going on solo trips to Ecuador and England, respectively.
PHILOSOPHY
To spread love to myself and others through music, passion and discovery. If you aren't having a good time, rethink the scenario.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I surfed all the way through Ecuador and Peru in 2011 and met a ton of amazing people. After I was home I was able to open up my doors to the world, and even had some of the travellers I met in SA stop by.
I think it's a great way to build global community and help travellers experience places beyond their means.
Interests
I always love having new experiences and am interested in learning as much as I can about things people wish to share.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While working in the bush a couple of summers ago I watched a Grizzly bear and a black bear duel. It was one sided, and possibly the most natural confrontation I've ever witnessed.
Playing music that makes people move.
Teach, Learn, Share
When you eat a cupcake, pull the bottom off and put it upside down on top of the muffin top, creating a sandwich with the icing. Very good.
Every time a plan changes, ditch the old thought process and expectation list and re evaluate with your new variables. Come to a new conclusion of the 'best possible outcome' and strive to achieve that rather than brood on what could have been.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well contained personal space, honest and interested conversations, ideas about the world, recreational sports, knowledge of human physiology, kinetics and fitness, musical tastes.
