An Ohio valley native, born and raised in the suburbs of Columbus. I'm currently a college student in the northeast, majoring in environmental studies with a natural history minor. I'll soon be getting a van to travel in during breaks and I'd like to be able to meet locals who know the surrounding area in terms of hiking/nature, local restaurants, art galleries, and museums/botanical gardens.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that establish communities aid in the extension of self. I believe in giving oneself over in the pursuit of human expletive and seeking knowledge is in our nature. I'd like to remain open to that sort of expansion, and I believe couchsurfing provides that opportunity. Especially in regards to the variety of people who come from different cultural backgrounds! Plus, I enjoy sleeping in unique, new places and may need a place to park my van.

Interests

Hiking trails, becoming a better rock climber, learning about the natural world, listening to live music (particularly music festivals), all things permaculture/horticulture/holistic/natural medicine, consuming local products, existential philosophy and Eastern religions, developing sense of self and seeing life as a work of art; a continuous flow of energy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Plant knowledge: I'd love to help weed and harvest your land; I can make suggestions to more sustainable food production as I am a studying permaculture. I'm also have experience caring for animals, even exotics.

I can help form dreads in various hair types and do maintenance. I may charge a fee depending on how much time I'll be putting in, or we can can negotiate a trade of some sort.

I practice yoga, meditation, and am an aspiring contortionist. I'm more than willing to have people join me. Especially if you have experience related to acroyoga!

Preparing dishes for large groups (I've been apart of an vegan/vegetarian food cooperative for the past year).
I do massage and energy work, though I am not trained people say that I'm quite good; I'd love to work on developing that skill.

I smoke herbal blends, not cigarettes.
