You are someone who others will come to rely on for their best travel advice and information. With any luck at all, you'll eventually get bought out by the BBC, so you can retire, and then keep traveling anyway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I get inspired by a friend in Kursk. He had very cool experiences with CS and travelled almost half the earth.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm really loving CouchSurfing. Even got addicted now!!
My first CS experience was in Vienna where I met 3 wonderful friends (Zhenia, Niki n Frank). It was very cool because they not only showed me the city, they told me a lot of stuffs about Vienna which u can't find in books or internet, such as some local slangs. We even did 'pub crwals' until 8am next morning.
What i think is that CS is not only about staying in your host's place. It's about getting the to know ur hosts n their country, culture.

Another cool experience was in Saint Petersburg during summer 2009. Initially, I was planning to stay for only 4 days. Once I met some CSers in the weekly CS meeting (in Sbarro pizzeria), I was overwhelmed by their friendliness, crazyness, enthusiasm...some of them even offer me to stay longer. So, I cancelled my train ticket back. I didn't regret because it was really worth it. So, my stay became 15 days with 3 diffrent hosts.
