ABOUT ME

I am a pretty open and honest person, I like learning and growing and generally becoming a better human. I was pretty quiet and repressed when I was younger, so I aim to live as fully as possible in my 30's...which can mean a lot of different things. But mostly: seeing the world, playing in bands, meeting new people, having wonderful experiences, connecting with nature, and a healthy dose of partying.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy has changed so much over the years. Having grown up in a strict and conservative religious household, a lot of my ideas were formed in spurts of rebellion and leaning as liberal as possible.

These days, I contemplate the beauty and brevity of life. It changes everything, when you understand how precious each and every second of the day is. When you have to make decisions and let things go because you can't possibly do everything your heart desires. But it also brings a joy of being in the moment, appreciating the opportunities in front of you, the thrill of going after the dreams that you have sacrificed so much for.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been lucky to stay with awesome people in San Francisco, Seattle, Idaho, Nashville, New York, Phoenix, Chicago...

I slept on a friends couch when I first moved to SF, they were very adventurous people who got me plugged into the city and work opportunities...we had good fun.

I got to spend a couple of months on my uncle's couch before he died, I was broke and he was sick and it worked out. I am glad that I got this time to bond with him...me and my sister would play songs for him and talk about driving around the country in an RV as a family band.

Generally speaking I clean up nice and wash dishes and cook and endeavor to make my hosts/guests happy :)
