ABOUT ME
I believe 5 bibles and 5 korans are not enough to describe fully any human being. Describinb myself in a few words, huh.
My experience is that different people see/describe me quite differently. That's ok for me, it means I'm not too grey as a person. So I'll continue in colors, in order my colors should be:
red, green, black, orange and pink.
red: leftish and social, in the true/political sense of the word.
green: oops again politics, but this keeps me puzzling: Biggest challenge of the upcoming century, and most people are aware, .. but others should act. How can we keep living with eachother and other lifeforms in peace on this overpopulated and degrading planet ?
black: Although not very visible (to most people), I have an anarchistic undercurrent. Avoiding conventions and clichés almost became my second nature :-)
orange: O well I like colors: emotions, differentiation, different dimensions, dissonance. This is the opposite of 'grey'. More poeple (esp. males) should ware organge-colored clothes.
O well, it also stands for 'idealistic'. I'm much more idealistic than pragmatic (which I associate with the color 'grey')
pink: stands for diversity, although cultures often try to divide people in groups, people as human are pretty much 'the same' once you get through that thiny cultural skin. And on the other side: every single individual creates its own unique personality, which makes us all unique in the end.
I not only believe we are all bi-sexual (no one is 100% gay or hetero), I also believe we are all transgenders (we all have lots of 'male' and 'female' sides), well actually these sides/properties are culturally defined as 'male' or 'female'. I'm actually convinced the differences between man and woman are way overrated, mostly cultural-overrated.
I like all this diversity !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
by now I only hosted some surfers.
Later this year I will mostly be surfing other people. And in 2009 that will probably change more to 50-50.
Which I consider pretty fine after all. We all evolve, and with such a big community, a balance can 'always' be found.
Of course I also like the spirit/ideas behind CS,
and I'm sure I'll organise and help organise CS-events in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: "Festen", "A clockwork orange", "La Zona", "Citade de Deus", "Amores perros"
Books: "Fear for the freedom - E. Fromm", "Che Guevara - biografia (Jean Cormier)" ; In my teen years I read most of the Karl May books, after that my interest in fiction-books faded quickly.
Music: Where my first real musical attraction was alternative rock (Pixies, L7, Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth), and nowadays my major musical thrills still come from alternative/progressive/classic rock, my musical interests broadened with the years, as with most people; and still leaving plenty of music to discover yet. The major constant in my musical interest is: "I do not like music that is commercial by intent". Not to be mistaken with 'commercial by result'; a rather fuzzy line that ex. for me separates Radiohead from Coldplay.
