Currently, I'm based in Sydney, Australia and I work full time with an accounting firm. I grew up in United Arab Emirates, completing my schooling in Dubai before moving to India. While in India, I was blessed to have a career with a fantastic firm, Ernst & Young, who gave me the opportunity to travel to the US, where I lived for a short while. It's these multi-cultural and global experiences that have shaped my perspective.

I enjoy interacting with people from different cultures and sharing ideas. Amongst the interests that define my personality, a deep appreciation for food, music and business is dominant. I love to play the guitar (4 guitars at home) and try out different cuisines. I am never shy to new experiences and have a fascination for foreign languages. I had Arabic and French in school. I can converse in French and Spanish is at an intermediate level.

To live with locals and get a sense of what it is to be a part of the city rather than visit as a tourist and sample the glamorous side. As a host, I enjoy meeting new people, sharing stories and learning from others experiences. I have simple tastes and enjoy exploring small bars, restaurants, sampling local beers, visiting the local art galleries and meetings other motivated individuals.

Interessen

I have a myriad of interests:

- Movies: Quentin Tarantino and Christopher Nolan flicks for starters but I'm a sucker for sci-fi movies.
- Music: Learnt the piano when in my early teens but gave that up to play the guitar. I've been playing the guitar, on and off for over 10 years and enjoy listening to different genres.
- Reading: I spend a lot of time reading articles online but I have an extensive range of books that I like to indulge in when I have extra time on my hands. The last book was The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy
- Food: I enjoy cooking as much as, if not more than, eating. I like to experiment with different cuisines and broaden my palate.
- Beer: As a beer aficionado, I like good beer with belgian style wheat being my favourite.
- Cultures: I have had the opportunity to live and work in diverse environments and I appreciate the different cultures that exist and the nuances that make it different.
- Languages: I studied Arabic and French in school. In addition to English, I picked up my mother tongue which is an Indian dialect. Currently, I'm trying to speak more Spanish and French.

As an amateur musician, I'm open to different genres and styles of music. Amongst my favourite musicians are; John Mayer, Tommy Emmanuel, Paco De Lucia, Vicente Amigo, Chet Atkins, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Frank Gambale, Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, Boston, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Kansas, Dire Straits, Dixie Dregs, Metallica, Megadeth, ACDC, Led Zeppelin, Tupac, Kendrick Lamar. Genres: Classical Music, Jazz, Flamenco, Pop, Oldschool Rap, Rock, Heavy Metal.
