Hi, my name is Derrick. How's it going? I'm 28 years old, nerdy, often too sarcastic, a Red Raider, and small business owner. I enjoy being goofy, brewing beer, playing video games, and nights on the town.

If there is one thing I have learned about life so far it's that you never talk about such deep things without an ice cold beer in your hand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I learned about couch surfing when I was studying abroad during school and just recently found it again. Right now, I'm looking to host surfers and show them what Lubbock has to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any official couch surfing experiences, but I have had a few friends from Australia (where I studied abroad) come to visit me and stay with me.

I would say the most fun was watching fellow Lubbockites' reactions when one of my Australian buddies would go up and start talking to them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a tour of New Zealand in ten days and walked across a glacier and drank water straight from it.

I can't believe this is limited to one thing.

My whole business is based on technology and how to make it for a person and that person's needs. The easiest way to find an answer is to just ask me a question and I'll find you an answer.
