ABOUT ME

36 years old, from Vienna - Austria (NO kangaroos :-) and austrian-german as mother tongue. I speak also a little bit english and serbo-croatian. My spoken english isn´t very good, but my best friend is my dictionary - and if that wouldn´t be enough I have hands and feets :-)

Selfdescription: at the beginning shy, like to smile, sometime reserved, friendly, sarcastic, accurate, inquiring, open minded, normally like cooking, history interested, scrutinising, communicative (but in the morning not very talkaktive :), like black humour, little bit crazy, correct, motivated ...like to host ppl and like to surf!

...oh and yes - should you surf my couch (and would like to make me happy) I really appreciate if you send me a postcard from your hometown or somewhere your roundtrip! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

-> in Portoroz, Slovenia ( Peter ) for 1 night
-> in Zagreb, Croatia ( Martina & Sven ) for 4 nights
-> in Zagreb, Croatia ( Goga & Filip ) for 1 night
-> in Reutte, Austria ( Beate ) for 3 nights

Joseph surfed my couch only 2 nights
.Judit & Gabor surfed my couch for 3 nights. We had much fun together speaking about the simmilarity of the austrian/hungarian language :P
Jan was surfing my couch only 1 "night" (correctly a few hours) after the Stammtisch in Vienna. Would be nice to hang out together the next time for longer!
Unfortunately Sara surfed just one night at my place. As I was sick I couldn´t show her the city - but next time we´ll go out 4 sure :)
Rebecca from Aussie-Land I hosted 5 nights at the beginning of her Europe-trip and 4 nights at the end of her travel. We joined a CS party from Birgit together, met often other Viennese CS ppl and went thru the Viennese Christmasmarket -> funfunfun all the time :) It was really great hosting her!
Aaron surfed the couch for 2 nights. Unfortunately the time was too short to went out together.
Selma & Johannes surfed my couch during the weekend for 2 nights. Had a great time together and a nice walk cross the city!
Scott & Joel surfed the couch for 4 nights. As I was veryvery busy we couldn´t spent so much time together! :(
Daniel moved to Vienna to make an Erasmus Programm and till he get his room, he surfed my couch for 4 nights.
Lana & Tim surfed for 2 nights. We spent some time together walking cross the city and had dinner in an austrian pub.
Ricardo the addicted geocacher surfed for 3 nights the couch. We went out twice often together and had a cool geocaching-sunday in Vienna!
Fabian surfed for 5 nights. We spent alot of time together also with Rigas, went out in the city, met other CSers and still had alot of fun!Rigas surfed for 8 nights. We made a lot of stuff together. The shortest notice would just say -> it was a really great time hosting him!
William my "emergency guest" surfed for 3 nights. He´s moving to Vienna and searched for an appartement. We had a long walk cross the city and enjoyed a dinner in a nice pub.
Hosted Fieke & Hilco for 3 nights. We went out together, had a little walk in the city and joined a nice CS-WB meeting from Andreea.
Ella surfed my couch for 4 nights. We went out together to a gameevening with other CS and had dinner in a pub around midnight.
Sergei surfed my couch for 4 nights. It was really a funny & bracing time :) Never mind to meet & host him!
Hosted Slaven just one night, but we went out together with Sergei, my other surfer, and had a really nice time in the city!
Robert wrote me in emergency, couse he lost his couch. I was still able to host him 2 nights, but had not much time to go out with him - it´s really a pitty!
Dave & Johnny surfed only 2 nights in Vienna. We went out together and had a walk in the city to see some very important sightseeing-stuff :)
Rocky and his friend Anne surfed 2 nights the couch. We went out together and met other CS´ers. They´re really funny and easygoing ppl :)
Hongkong - Man surfed 2 nights at my place. It was a very spontanous hosting couse I should have other guests that time, but they didn´t come. Together we joined a meeting with more CSers.
Iain stayed 2 nights with me, but slept the first night on the floor, couse I had other surfers on the same time on the couch - He walked the whole days cross our beautiful city and really enjoyed the big monumental buildings *lol* Welcome back!
Jamie and Hanni surfed for 3 nights my couch. They were calm, kind and funny - it was nice to have them around! We also found time to have some UNO games :) ...awaiting your return!
Erica surfed my couch for 3 nights. We were often out together and joined also a great homeparty @ Isa´s place.
Imran surfed my couch for 7 nights. We went out with some other CS´ers and ate ice cream at the best Ice shop in town :)
Julia and her boyfriend Domenico surfed my couch for 2 nights. Two really great, kind and easygoing persons :) Just contact me when you´ll come back!
Paul & Ash, my hosts from London visited Vienna for some days and were surfing my couch for 4 nights! I´m happy to introduced them a little bit into the Viennese kind of [CS-]life. It´s great to host your host :) Hope 2 cu again soon!
Andreea (+2), Zsolt and Paul (+12) surfed my couch for 1 night after the "Concert for Europe" in Schönbrunn. We had a great evening/night/morning and Andreea found time at 3am to cut Pauls hair *lol* ...and then we started into the new day with a breakfast - just great!
Jin from Malaysia I hosted 2 nights! He was my first asian CouchSurfer :) ... a really funny and easygoing guy!
Kathleen the girl who trained my english a lot *lol* She spoke so fast that I had to concentrate myself to that what she said really much :) it was nice to have her around. I hosted her 4 nights.
Nico the clever & smart guy from sunny California who study now in Lyon (France). I hosted him only 2 nights. We also joined a CS homeparty from Christine together.
Sergio the modern Italian guy who loves playing Malefiz :) We met first at a CS party and then I hosted him for 5 nights.
Jales the brazilian guy who study in Paris and like history very much I hosted for 4 nights. ...& we organized a small CS cometogether in my home.
Corine & Cornelis - the two flying dutch who made an Erasmus programm in Budapest now I hosted just 2 nights. But we saw the Viennese nightlive and joined a CS meeting together.
Juraj (+1) from Bratislava & Antonia from Bulgaria where my guests at Adventtime for 2 nights. They really loved the Christmas-Markets in Vienna :)
David the generous & charismatic Frenchman I hosted for 2 nights.
Gesche the german girl who want to study in Vienna I hosted for 2 nights.
Eric and Randy my first couchsurfers!! :) were from Colorado and surfed 5 nights - really easygoing and friendly guys!
In 2005/06 I met Thabita at christmastime in Vienna. She didn´t surfed my couch but she stayed at 25th of dez. also for dinner with my family and we met my friend Radu. It was a really cool christmas that year :)
Radu is one of my closest friends. I don´t know really how often he surfed my and I his couch ...we know us a long time before we got in contact with CS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

drove more then 7.800km by car and 1.200km by cartrain to see the most important cities and places of whole italy in 3 weeks!

...by the way - the most bad youthhostel I have seen ever in my life was in Rome ( Hostel Foro Italico ). It look like they don´t know that water can also be used to clean something. On a scala of 1-10 (1=bad, 10=good) they would have a minus10!!! Never go there - it´s dangerous 4 your health!!
