Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Spreading the love to travelers everywhere.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My most awesome surfing experience has been in Mexico City in March of 2009. I was lucky enough to stay with an amazing host (for a full week!) who enhanced my Mexico experience tenfold!
Interests
Photography is my passion. I would love to be able to get a job traveling all over the world taking pictures, but alas, I am afraid those jobs are often hard to come by. I love good music, movies and art and never tire of discussing any of these topics at great lengths with people. I am an avid hiker and also enjoy camping, rock climbing, kayaking and cycling.
Oh, and beer and wine. I love me some microbrews and vino.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Everything. I love getting new music from surfers who come my way, and I love to distribute music to those who share this common love.
Books: Crime & Punishment, Girl Interrupted, Paint It Black, White Oleander, The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Bell Jar, Love in the Time of Cholera, Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman.
Movies: Amelie, Trois Couleurs, La Double Vie de Veronique, Let the Right One In, Frida, The English Patient, everything by the Coen Brothers and Wes Anderson, and so many more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A trip I took to the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Volendam & The Hague) in December of 2006 is the farthest I have ever been from home , and it was most definitely the experience of a lifetime.
Teach, Learn, Share
Wow. Couchsurfing has made such a huge impact on my enjoyment and appreciation of culture, traveling and life. Every person I host or am hosted by really brings something new and exciting to the table, and I think it's a beautiful thing. What advice can I give to other CSer's? Soak up the atmosphere you're in and the people you're around. Put yourself in a position to be open to every opportunity that's presented to you. Live a little! I'm all for deeply getting to know my world and the diverse population that inhabits it.
