About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Understanding the world

ABOUT ME

I think they would say I'm a crazy, funny, nice person. Some will say I'm a hippie but others who like plants as much as I do would say I'm a person connected with nature ;-)

PHILOSOPHY

Go placidly amidst the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labours and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When the first couch surfers visited me I was very nervous and didn't know what to expect. After all it was so chilly and it felt like there were friends visiting me. We had so much fun! I'm really looking forward to a life within the couch surf family! Love you guys...

Interests

I'm very interested in everything that's living! It doesn't matter if it's about plants, animals or humans! I love people and I love to hear about their stories! But at the same time I also enjoy being alone, listen to music and read a book. Now the spring is starting I'm busy to grow vegetables and herbs in the garden. Often in the weekends I'm visiting my family and friends in Germany. When someone has a spontaneous idea to do something crazy I'm always into it! I love life and the people who join me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I went to Australia for a few month. I was working there on a cattle farm. This day one of the cows had problems with giving birth. We had to help her. Jo-ann my family mum fixated the cord around the baby cow's feet you could already see. When she was pulling I had to catch the baby cow that he is not falling that deep. I was holding him the first second of his life on this beautiful earth. We carried him into the sun and left so that his mother could get to him and lick him clean. When he first tried to stand up and his mother still confused and in shock it was an amazing moment. The whole time I was like in trance, I did everything without really realizing what I was doing. When we decided to leave mother and son alone I went to my cottage and washed my clothes because they were bloody and slimy. With my fresh clothes and a hot cup of tea between my hands I was sitting in the sun and started to cry. I think I was overwhelmed of what I just experienced. It's not they I didn't see the birth of a baby cow before, actually I was half growing up in the country side but because I was so close and everything went that fast....it was just great and one of the most beautiful experiences last year!

Teach, Learn, Share

I really want to know more about religion. I'm not a religious person, maybe that's why I'm so interested in it. While I was studying psychology I was getting more and more interested in people. The more I learned at school the less I really understood! People can be so different and at the same time so equal. I think humans are the most interesting 'subjects' in the world.
