About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hang with awesome people and explore my world

ABOUT ME

As often as possible I nurture my love for traveling, biking, snowboarding, hand lettering, interior decorating, hiking, and training for my first marathon! I enjoy talking to and meeting new people all the time. Strangers can sometimes turn into your best friends. Somehow my fingernails almost always end up matching my outfit and color coordination is one of my keys to success. I will probably never take a normal photograph and I firmly believe taking things too seriously is highly overrated. Laughing is one of my favorite things to do and sending a smile in a strangers direction will almost always brighten their day.

PHILOSOPHY

The longer I live, the more i realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have traveled a bit and crashed on several couches with amazing people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, absolutely great! My friends still think I'm insane for participating, but people on here are mostly amazing.

Interests

Traveling, running, riding my bike to as many places as possible. I love being outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a terribly movie watcher, but I am currently digging Mat Kearney and have always loved The Gaslight Anthem.
I'm not much of a reader, I really only buy books with a lot of photos of design and I usually read it from back to front.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I always love hiking in the Rocky Mountains. One fall I witnessed the migration of elk to warmer climates. It was amazing. They were so close, people were petting them.
