About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To create the world I've always wanted...and see the worlds of others too.
ABOUT ME
All about me. Goodness, where do I stop, begin, and what to fill in the middle with...
I'm a writer living in Virginia (but probably not for long--will likely be moving to Wilmington North Carolina, New York City, Denver Colorado, San Francisco California, Austin Texas,or Richmond VA,)in the U.S. I'm 28, and am very fortunate to work from home (or anywhere that I may be.) Thus, I'm looking forward to extensive travel while I have this incredibly convenient set-up. I'm not married, have no children, just my beloved Pekingese Matilda Ming (who gives me an amazing amount of joy like any child would, she's perhaps better dressed than some small children.)
I also co-own an independent monthly magazine called Magazine33 (Magazine33.com) which spans almost 20 cities between North Carolina, Virginia, and D.C. and am currently working on coordinating a non-profit organization for teen bullying, working on a series of children's novels and merchandise, and also developing a t-shirt and accessories line to premiere in 2014.
There's not much I don't care to see in this world. While I have my preferences as to where I go first, I'd love to explore any nook and cranny and corner of anywhere in the world. I'm not sure how anyone could ever become bored...there's so much out there in life!
In addition to being a writer, I'm also a lover of theatre and film, and have enjoyed time both on and off stage and camera. I also do some public speaking as well and do travel a bit but it's all within the U.S. I've been all over the U.S., have lived in Virginia, Arizona, Washington State, and Indiana. (With brief stints as a baby in Florida and Texas...doesn't really count though. :-) )
While I doubt anyone is going to be very interested in coming to Lynchburg, VA, I am open to anyone contacting me that may be for whatever reason. Lynchburg is a quiet, smaller, town, but there's really not much to do here, it is a good central spot if you're interested in U.S. history, as there are a lot of relevant spots within a five minute to three or four hour radius from here. I only live in a 1 bedroom apartment, nothing huge and don't have guests very often, but if you're going to be here and really do need a couch to stay on, you're welcome to it, or I can take the couch and you the bedroom. Like I said, I do have a small dog, 12 pounds, and she's a longer haired dog so if you have dog allergies it may not be the best place, I also smoke as well, though usually do so outside, but don't mind smokers at all.
If you're going to be in the area and just want someone to give you the 'resident's tour' of the town or somewhere nearby, feel free to contact me as well. Even if I don't have a large space free that may not be ideal for everyone, I am absolutely up for meeting with anyone, answering any questions, etc. and showing you around or pointing you in a direction. :-)
PHILOSOPHY
We make the world we live in and our luck, and ultimately make our own beds (or couches, in this case ;))

Teach, Learn, Share
When hosting or just showing someone around, I love making new friends and am the kind of person that can talk to anyone and loves learning about people. I believe with my love of history and exploring that I'm able to offer people a great insight to opportunities and things that are founded upon that. I love intellectual types who can be easily satisfied just with good conversation, but I enjoy 'getting out there' and being a 'doer' too. I can offer insight into local culture including theatre, art, music, historical sites, and sometimes the best of all, which is just appreciating a place for what it simply is, and love meeting people who can recognize those things as well!
