Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I ask a question to myself and yet the answer is uncertain: How can we prove we have been to a place? Taking photos with the tourist attractions? Visiting the museums about a place? Staying for a certain period in that place?

These can all be the correct answers, but to me, it is the social networking that matters, that making local friend can bring along interesting interaction, that is what I am looking for.
