ABOUT ME

I think of myself as an open minded guy with a genuine interest in people and their motivations in life. Calmed and relaxed, enjoying randomness.

I just finished uni here at Valencia and now I decided to have a gap year and enjoy the things I like but never really took for them the time they deserve. Including: travelling and hitchhiking, farming and playing music.

PHILOSOPHY

I think optimism is a weapon of mass construction.

I believe in reciprocal relationships as a way to scape from the all-pervading individualist ideology.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Both hosting and surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed during a 7-week hitchiking trip around Europe. It was an incredible experience, met so many interesting and helpful people. Now I feel I have so much to give back to strangers and travellers.

Intereses

I'd say I simply like people. I'm curious about how we construct a sense of living and choose our motivations. I guess that's the reason I did a degree in psychology. Now that I finished I feel attracted by social sciences research, although I'm kind of bored by the "straight" academic world. I like talking and knowing about phylosophy, sociology, history and politics, as I think all of them are so entangled that are sometimes difficult to separate.

I love music, both listening and playing. I often go to gigs and enjoy the local scene. I also like art and photography, specially portraits and street photography. I'm a begginer, though (some of my photos: esperaespera.wordpress.com)

Ecology and sustainable movements are also of my interest. I recently started growing my own vegetables in a little organic farm, here at the city.
