ABOUT ME

I grew up in Minnesota with lakes to swim in and trees to climb. I like making things, including art and furniture and things. I'm friendly and out-going most of the time and I love to have fun and be active, but I do value my alone time. I enjoy playing sports and games, going on walks and bike rides, hikes, etc. I love to watch movies and listen to music, pretty much all the time and of many different genres (lately I've been loving motown, funk & disco, 80s, indie, and electronic). I wouldn't call myself any one label...but I will say I'm a burner (I go to Burning Man), I am an artist, I am young-ish and enjoying it. I want to travel more, I enjoy that a lot. Also into being a vegetarian, but I don't judge. Slightly spiritual, but not overly.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed in Asia a bit and my roommate and I open our couch up for surfers from time to time, though not a ton of people pass through Arizona and request a couch. I love to show the world that there are nice, trustworthy people out there who just want to help out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed with a couple girls up in Seoul and that was great, they took me out to a concert and to some bars with them. Very fun weekend! Also surfed a little in SE Asia and Europe. I've hosted a few rockin' couchsurfers at my casa too, that's pretty fun!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I would say that Burning Man is an amazing thing I participate in. I met the Arizona burners who made me feel at home and are good friends, and then I went to the event for the first time in 2008 and I loved it. Been to six now and a multitude of regionals. People can be so creative when given an outlet! I was astounded by the art and experience of it.

Also, I've played football (soccer) with villagers in the Amazon, accidentally touched the erect penis of a dolphin (his fault, the perv), survived typhoid fever, fallen in love, been to San Francisco Pride, dove with sharks, been to the redwoods on a misty night....and I thirst for more! Love life!

Hmmm I'm not sure what this one is asking, but I suppose I can offer some insights on sustainable living and animal rights, also about design and how to make art and other things. I'd like to learn more about those things I've already listed, but also about how to live a more full and happy life, how to save money on products (I've just discovered that we don't actually have to buy drain cleaner - you can just use baking soda and vinegar!). I find lots of things to be interesting, I don't want to limit this one. I teach people to weld sometimes and taught one surfer already.
