ABOUT ME

I have a Master's degree I don't know if I want to use, and a passion for dance that I cannot ignore. I love to laugh, make others laugh, organize just about anything, and learn.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't have one put into words, but in a 6th grade project I once came up with, "Fly high, fly free, fly swift."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just starting out with this formalized couch surfing! I'll start with a bit of surfing myself and hope to offer up my couch once I have one that is not made of sheets and cardboard boxes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't done it through the website yet but have always looked for these opportunities through friends and colleagues. Couches are often more comfortable than mattresses. I wish I could host people all the time; I believe if you have the means and space then it should be shared.

Musica, film e libri

Music: most anything except country and unimaginative rap or R&B.
Movies: Neverending Story, Labyrinth, The Ring, Airplane!, Bulworth, Goonies, The Princess Bride, Meet Me in Las Vegas, Blazing Saddles, The Naked Gun, Fight Club, dance films with no plot, lots of musicals and classics, etc.
Books: The Sound and the Fury, 100 Years of Solitude, any Calvin and Hobbes treasuries, Perfume, Night, The Last of the Just, The Source, etc.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Most of the things I see are amazing. Having studied how the human body functions, I am continually in wonder at how our bodies perform.
Architectural wonders are particularly astounding, from the temples of Egypt to the salt caves in Salzburg. On that note, the water works at Hellbrun are a set of the most amazing man-made structures I have seen.
Natural beauty has taken my breath away in Yellowstone Park, the Swiss and Austrian Alps, the hills near Siena, Italy, and the Carlsbad Caverns, NM.
Things I do? Not quite so amazing, but I intend to change so that I find meaning and beauty for myself every day. Or at least every couple days!

Insegna, impara, condividi

I can teach you about: ballet, modern dance, exercise science, physiology, neuroscience, kinesiology, biomechanics, kinetic/kinematics, horses and horseback riding, nutrition, human health in general, working out or stretch/strength/conditioning, using a Mac and basic applications like Microsoft Office, cooking.
And, we can all learn through discussion of any topic - that's the best way to learn!
