About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living each day as if it's my last. Anything that I think might help me figure out what it's all about in the most fun way possible. Reading lots and trying to have and listen to as many interesting conversations as I can. Remembering to breathe.

ABOUT ME

I like to think of myself as an open and honest person that would prefer to hear the truth even if it's upsetting. I usually don't care much for the mainstream and most that goes with it. I'm a keen bike fan (the kind you peddle :) and have many of them. I find them dumped on street and fix them up. If we could go on a bike ride together I reckon I'd really like that :)I adore animals of all kinds but especially dogs - if I'm walking down the street and see a friendly dog I just have to stop and say hello.I like to push boundaries and stretch myself - push myself to do things that will hopefully help me be more comfortable with the world and myself.I love nature and love spending time out in the trees or near water. I love nature in it's most raw form. Particularly water. Especially waterfalls.

PHILOSOPHY

The wise Dr Seuss said "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
I like that :)

I value truth over comfort.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
Neale Donald Walsch

There is only do or not do. There is no try.
Yoda

If you look in the mirror and your hair is messy, don't try to comb the reflection.

Be the change you wish to see in the world.
Ghandi

Guilt is a useless emotion. We do what we do until we don't and we know its right because we did it.

"This whole world's wild at heart and weird on top." - from some movie

Death is a stripping away of all that is not you. The secret of life is to "die before you die" --- and find that there is no death. Mr Tolle said that.

David Icke said "I believe that the human race has developed a form of collective schizophrenia in which we are not only the slaves to this imposed thought behavior, but we are also the police force of it. "
... and I can't disagree.

Encompass All.

"...in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you..."
Matthew 7:12

"...never be ashamed to approve truth or acquire it, no matter what it's source might be..."
Rasa'il al Kindi

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law." Aleister Crowley

Buddha said a wise thing or two :)
- There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.
- All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.
- Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.”
- Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.
- The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.

Oh, and whilst I'm writing quotes, I thought I'd chuck this one in - it's not a philosophy as such, but it does remind me that at the end of the day, we really don't know anything, including the "smart" people and especially how it's all gonna turn out...
"Computers in the future may weigh no more than 1.5 tons." - Popular Mechanics 1949.
... he he he

...and this one which again isn't a philosophy, but I think it sums up life in a lot of ways...
The skeptic says, "I'll believe it when I see it."
The mystic says, "I'll see it when I believe it."
.... which are you i wonder? :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A Darkness Enlightenment Program - sat in the dark for 11 days with absolutely no light whatsoever. It was by far the most profound thing I have ever experienced. The Tao says: ‘When you go into the dark and this becomes total, the darkness soon turns into light’
It's hard to describe in words the things I experienced.

Teach, Learn, Share

I suppose I have a fair bit of esoteric knowledge. I can definitely show you some interesting Youtube videos :)

I'm a massage therapist familiar with a number of different styles of massage - always keen to learn more.
