ABOUT ME

My name is Bernadette, which is abbreviated into a lovely Berna, Bernie or all other sorts of variations ( be creative ;) ). I'm 23 years old and would consider myself as a laid back, open-minded and clean person. I hate intolerance and try to live according to the principle live and letting live. I have a chocolate brown labrador and a younger sister. I'm half French, half German and have a huge family. I love to travel, explore new places and cultures, meet interesting people and enjoy life. Since I've started studying I have used every single semester break to do so. Next to traveling the world, I'm highly interested in languages, winter sports, photography, cooking, guitar play, painting, theatre and all sorts of artsy stuff.

PHILOSOPHY

I live in an economically strong country surrounded by a healthy family to which I can count myself: the conditions for my life are excellent. The rest is up to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently traveling for a couple of months, so meeting nice couch surfers, having a good time together and surfing couches is my main priority for the time being. I am always up for hanging out, so shoot me a message anytime I'm around your city :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been couchsurfing countless times such as during my stays in Sweden, Australia, India and my hitch hiking trip through Italy. I've always had nice experiences, met great people and learned a lot about different cultures. By now, I have met some of my best friends here, so I can candidly say that CS has changed my perspective, my traveling habits and my life (couldn't resist that cheesy moment). CouchSurfing is a great opportunity for people all over the world to connect and share happy moments.

Interests

I love to travel, explore the nature, go out, cook, meet friends, go skiing/snowboarding, shop, etc. whatever you suggest, I'll be most likely up for it!
Other than that you'll always find an interested listener when it comes to photography, theatre, yoga, all kinds of arts, cooking and crazy travel stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked through some parts of Europe especially Italy with one of my best friends. It was an awesome experience!
