ABOUT ME

I keep forgetting I have an account on this site. Apologies to anyone who's tried to contact me recently.

My default is high energy and amiable. I enjoy people and tend to get along with them. I love to make things, learn skills and explore my surroundings. I'm an odd duck, and I could write pages about myself that would at different points attract and alienate almost everyone. My name is Legion, for we are many.

PHILOSOPHY

I wish I had a better sense of this. I think cultivating awareness is important, I want to learn to enjoy more deeply, to grow comfortable in my skin and tune in. Rumi says there is ecstasy is paying attention. I'm inclined to agree.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer a place to stay when I have one and I exploit people's offer of a place when I need one. I love to be a resource and I rarely regret making friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've lived in a few loosely communal houses and kept guest rooms open for travelers. It's been fun to host people and I love the idea of letting strangers into our lives. There is no reason to perpetuate a sense of isolation and contrived boundary that I see so often here in the first world.
