ABOUT ME

Well... Im a creative type. A self-made renaissance woman, if you will. I currently work in the software industry in graphic design and marketing, although I was previously running my own company. I do all sorts of crap though... painting, web design, illustration, gardening, singing, etc...
Im liberal and open to all sorts of worldly thinking. Life is too short to be close minded!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short. Really short. My goal is to touch people's lives with beauty and somehow make things better. Its easy to cruise through life without noticing half of the amazing things around us. I guess my purpose seems to be to reflect them at people and spread a bit of joy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to stay involved by both hosting and trying to connect other travelers to eachother when I can. I support this site and this endeavor, as it allows people opportunities to travel that they might not otherwise be able to have.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have hosted a little and stayed with a few people, but not always via couchsurfing.com. The idea is a great one, and I try to host when I can.

Art! Creating is my life's work and passion. I love cooking for friends. On rainy days I enjoy painting. I do historical costume reproduction. Bellydancing and other dancing is another joy of mine. Im a clown sometimes, but I can be social without being the buffoon. I love clubbing with friends. Singing karaoke. Poking around under the hood of my car. Gardening. I could put all sorts of stuff in here, but most folks will probably just skim it.

Movies: All sorts of things. I don't watch many movies, but in generally I stay away from big budget hollywood crap. It gets boring. Favorites: City of Lost Children, Amelie, Its All Gone Pete Tong, Dark Crystal, Willow, Kiss kiss bang bang.
Music: Techno: Trance, Industrial, School House. World Beat: Habib Koite, Salsa, Tango, Djembe, etc. Dance: Self explanatory. Retro Punk, Rock, Goth, Bluegrass, etc.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I finally got to see the Mezquita in Cordoba. It was the most breathtaking thing I've seen in my life. Never have I been so moved in a space before.
