I'm a Filipina woman from Oakland, California, USA. I currently work at a non-profit that aims to take low income youth to developing countries to work in solidarity with community members to build primary schools. I've had a lot of experience living with host families around the world, and I truly value getting to know a place through the eyes of locals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've met a few dope people from CS, showed them around Oakland, when I was home, and also guided a bunch of people around Lençóis and Chapada.

I've always had the privilege of staying with host families during my travels. This has instilled in me a sense of community that I crave when I travel. I enjoy getting to know the community in the places I stay, and love being able to stay with locals rather than in a hostel or hotel.
