Hello couchsurfers,

I am orininally from Texarkana, Texas, a small town in the middle of no-where Texas. I grew up surrounded by a lot of conservative close-minded people who really believe Texas is the greatest place on earth. After graduating high school I decided that travel and adventure were a prioirty, so I joined the military and moved to sunny San Diego, California where I am currently living now. I must say, living in San Diego is a lot different than Texas and I wouldn't change it for the world. With that being said however, I want to experience more of what the world has to offer, so this is why I am here today writing my story......

Today is October 24th, 2018 and a major change has just happened which sparked the idea to hit the road and make new memories. So, starting on December 18th I will begin my around the world trip on my own. (Frightening, I know!) During this trip I would love to meet new people, understand new cutlures, and see the amazing creations built by humans and nature itself.

My first stop will be Sydney Australia from December 18th - January 4th. From there I will slowly make my way up the East Coast of Australia with my final destination being Cairns. I plan to arrive in Cairns around the end of Janaury and stay for about a week.

My next destination will be Manila, Philippines planning to arrive roughly around February 5th timeframe and staying for 2 weeks. While in the Philippines, I plan to see Palawan and several other locations. I will update once I figure them out.

I believe in the concept "pay it forward." Couchsurfing provides me the ability to continue exploring the world, meet new people, trust that there really are good people out there and to make lasting memories with all my furture friends.

I will listen to all music depending on what type of mood I am in. Hip Hop for the club scene, Country for the back roads, Classical for the studying and relaxing days, rock for the uplifting and gym time sessions.

I really dont watch a lot of movies besides documentaries.

One of the things in life that helps me learn is the ability to teach others concepts and ideas I have developed overtime. This really reinforces our ability to understand the concepts and ideas to become a subject matter expert.

I like to think of myself as a humble selfless human being that can laugh at anything and enjoy the moment regardless of the environment. I can play the guitar, tell stories and be a friend to anyone in need.
