ABOUT ME

Hey to all the couchsurfers out there! So I'm pretty new to the site and was only recently recommended by a friend as I like to take spontaneous day/weekend trips.

I'm currently on a gap year from uni where I studied Engineering. Hope to travel and explore many countries while making great friends along the way!

I'm an outdoors kinda person always have been from a young age. Love to camp and hike! I play a few sports mainly basketball and badminton. I've been mountain biking up in the Isle Of Wight a few times now, been meaning to go again, the views you get from up there!

I love animals and pets although I am extremely allergic to cats which I found out the hard way when we had a house cat in 2nd year of university. Still this doesn't put me off and I absolutely adore cats! Unfortunately don't have pets of my own due to allergies but there's a squirrel named Spodge who comes to visit every now and then as he lives in the tree outside my window :) There's also the cat who roams the road during summer sunbathing in the middle of the pavements and on top of cars, noone knows where he comes from but as soon as the suns out hes there and ready haha :')

Have fun! Life's to short so drink all the rum, eat all the cake, visit all the countries, make all the friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The worlds a pretty big place, I'd like to make it smaller. Get to know people and cultures from around the world and hopefully share my experiences with them aswell :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a big passion of mine, you're more than likely to find me at a concert or show or at a festival during the summer time. Each year I aim to go to one more new festival than last year, currently did 10 over the summer just passed and have one more in a few days time. I haven't yet been to a festival outside of the UK so that is my goal for next year!!

I enjoy a wide range of music and genres from small local bands to more well known establish artists. My favourite genres however are rock and heavy metal, followed by classic rock and punk/pop punk. Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Green Day, Good Charlotte, In Flames, Disturbed, Mc Fly, Newton Faulkner, 21 Pilots are a few of my current favourite bands/artists.

I love watching movies/shows regardless if they are in English or another language, got subs? Good enough for me :) Some of my favorite movies are international ones. My current favourite movie/shows include: The Hunt, A Werewolf Boy,LOTR, Always, Real Humans, Person of Interest, Fringe, The Last Kingdom, GOT, Marco Polo I don't really have a favorite genre but anything historical based or Fantasy goes down well!

I used to love reading when I was younger, read less and less as the years went on but getting back into it now. Terry Pratchett writes some killer novels!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most memorable experiences was to be apart of the London 2010 Olympics and Paralympic Games. I was able to help out and work at various venues where the games were taking place :)
