Northern Michigan born. Just packed up Esmerelda - my Jeep - and started driving west. Once I have a couch (or at least an address) I’ll accept guests!

First, as a Michigander, I love trees and water above all else. Staring out over a Great Lake/ocean and seeing nothing but flat blueness until the horizon. Listening to a babbling brook in a forest. Living in a city on a river is a must.

But! I’ve fallen in love with mountains. It rained my first time on Mt Washington in New Hampshire, and I realized that there is nothing closer to nature than being on a mountain.

I also am a big fan of history and culture, and that’s the biggest reason to travel, for me. I can see amazing nature in my backyard of the US, but seeing a funeral procession or a youth fútbol match in Los Santos, Colombia while enjoying local cuisine is why I travel.

I’m passionate about literature and hoping to get a job in urban literature program development. That or any outdoor education career.
