About Me

Hello friend!

I love playing music, seeing exciting new places, and learning about different people. I'm soft spoken, outspoken, and flexible with nearly any kind of situation— I'm super into paleontology, history, and psychology and relish any kind of spirited discussion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently in the process of setting myself up as, fingers crossed, a successful musician in a new city; I don't have many people I know across the country, so I'm looking to stay for a couple days with different hosts while I get some more permanent accommodations squared away.

By the same token, I love writing and I feel like you can get the best stories from meeting new people.

Interests

I spend a lot of time doing research to keep busy, as a result any chance to learn something new is fantastic. I'm a fairly adventurous eater, love being out and about, and making art!

I get along great with almost any kind of pet (total cat person admittedly) but big high energy dogs can make me a little nervous.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Wilco, Prince, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Marvin Gaye, Sly and the Family Stone, Amy Winehouse, Fleet Foxes, Miles Davis, The Smiths, Joy Division, and Mac Demarco

Movies: Raising Arizona, No Country for Old Men, The Royal Tenenbaums, Planet Earth (Narrated by David Attenborough), Silence of the Lambs, The Thing, Anchorman, and Shaun of the Dead.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did student exchange in Costa Rica with a lovely host family in Costa Rica during high school; it was a really informative and exciting trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

I actually work as a substitute teacher for a BOCES, which is funny. The most direct thing I can teach someone is how to improvise on the guitar, how to write a song, and how to record said song (could be a fun project!)

I don't mean to sound silly, but I'm open to any kind of lesson someone has to impart to me; I like small things like magic tricks, but even if someone wants to share a bigger life lesson I am totally on board for that too.

Share: I am on a total mission of kindness (which the world desperately needs right now), as a surfer I don't have a ton I can share other than my time, a positive attitude, and interesting facts.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an information sponge when it comes to music, video games, science, or history— I'm always happy to share and turn someone on to a different band or make jokes.
