Hello from Chicago! We are Devin and Ryan McSherry. We were born and raised in the Chicago, Illinois area and currently live in a studio apartment in the city. Devin is in marketing, but recently fell in love with graphic design and hand lettering and wants to pursue freelance design work. Ryan has had a corporate job for a while but would love to try his hand at acting and modeling for the fitness and comedy industries. We are both 27 and we've been married since December 2013. We would call ourselves easy-going, minimalist, and we don't take ourselves too seriously (laughter is a constant!) We enjoy hiking, visiting breweries for tastings/tours, and checking out coffee shops when we travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are both at a point in our lives where we're not happy with our current 9 to 5 jobs and want to travel, explore new cultures, and live our life in a less traditional way. We've been married for almost 5 years and we're planning to travel through Europe this fall (2018) to celebrate and go on a big adventure together :). We're really interested in the local scenes and less interested in the major tourist spots, so we'd love to try out couch surfing and meet new people!

MUSIC:
Ryan: Loves Irish punk, metal, and some folk music
Devin: Loves indie and folk music mainly, but can jam out to basically anything :)

BOOKS:
We have read through the entire Harry Potter series together :)
Devin loves classics like Pride and Prejudice and the Anne of Green Gables series.
Ryan is a Hobbit and Lord of the Rings fan, as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

Devin enjoys hand lettering and would be happy to design something personalized for her hosts (wall art, a chalkboard design, stationary, etc)

Ryan enjoys fitness and lifting weights and would be happy to exercise with our host!

What I Can Share with Hosts
