I recently graduated college, and now I'm trying to get some traveling in. I'm pretty new to the whole traveling thing, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in going deeper than the typical tourist experience when traveling. I hope that through couch surfing I can meet some cool people that will show me a piece of their culture. On the flip side, I'd love to host travelers from around the globe and show them my local culture as well.

Interests

I like playing music, board games, going to shows, and scuba diving. I'm usually open to new things, so there definitely some interesting things I haven't done yet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll go to any live concert if I dig the music, (and I dig a lot of music).
I'll go to metal and punk concerts even if I don't dig the music, (as moshpits and such are fun).
I don't really watch movies that often, but I do like Gaspard Noe and Wes Anderson films. Terrible cult films like Troll 2, the Prophecy (with the mutant bear, not the other one), and The Room are good watching on occasion.
Most of the books I've been reading lately have been practical, but I do like reading scifi books and books on conspiracy theory/esoteric things as well.

I was a guitar teacher for 2 years, and am skilled in all kinds of styles. If you have a guitar in your closet somewhere gathering dust, I'm sure that I could teach you some things that will make you want to bring it out more.
