I like exploring, trying new things, people, banana splits, and goats standing on top of things.

Right now, I'm taking a break from spending a couple years working with volunteers in natural disaster relief and traveling New Zealand!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like talking to strangers, I guess. And I really like the idea of a bigger, geographically spread community of people that are willing to open their doors and couches to one another, and become friends.

Interests

Adventures, campfires, bike rides, games, jumping in lakes, rolling giant snowballs that take a couple of friends to roll cuz they're so big, those kinda general shenanigans. I think I'm pretty open minded, and am interested in learning more about most things. I like to volunteer / work with good people on good causes and helping people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music's hard to answer. Let's just go with last concert I saw, which was Dispatch in Austin, Texas.

As for movies? Favorites are the Sandlot and Back to the Future. Honorable mentions from Shawshank and Almost Famous.

Books, let's see… I haven't yet found a consistent pattern in my reading. Lately I've been reading through the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. I've also enjoyed the Hitchhiker's Guide books, writing by Jon Ronson and Danny Wallace, and some good biographies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent the summer a few years back biking across the U.S. with a friend. The people and experiences we met along the way were pretty incredible!
