My girlfriend (Nicole) and I (Devin) are using this account for the 2 of us during our travels through Europe.
She has hosted through Couchsurfing before, but has long since deactivated her account, hence our use of mine.

ABOUT US (writing in the 3rd person)

Devin is an American currently living an extended traveling lifestyle after finishing his teaching work in Korea. Enjoys bouldering, sport-climbing, cycling, cooking (but mostly eating Nicole's creations), and hearing what knowledge other people have to share. Speaks English fluently and is learning German.

Nicole is an Italian with a well developed sense of sarcasm who enjoys climbing, teaching, and cooking really good food. She fluently speaks Italian, German, English, French, Bulgarian, and Macedonian.

We are just trying to experience as much as we can in this life: to travel to as many different places and meet as many different people as possible!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Devin has met some great surfers during his previous travels to Europe and he's been very fortunate to host several wonderful people who have since become friends.

Nicole has not yet had the opportunity to "surf" someone's couch, although she has too has made several friends out of those whom she hosted.

Intereses

Devin loves rock-climbing and does it as regularly as he can.

And as cliched as it sounds, he really enjoys hanging out with his friends (and making new ones!).

What can be said that hasn't already been said? Nicole loves pushing her body to the limit in a vast array of different activities, and then unwinding with the meditative process of cooking a meal and then eating that meal in the company of good people.

We love having good conversations and exchanges of ideas with others, sometimes it's over delicious home-cooked meals, sometimes it's during leisurely bike rides, but it's always a good time.

We are aware that it is a cliched notion, but that doesn't make it any less true for us: we know that our lives, as are everyone else's, are finite, so we really just want to maximize the time spent with friends and people we care about having fun and creating happiness with other people.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Between the 2 of us we've summited mountains, owned a Tibetan restaurant that offered yoga classes, had a near drowning experience surfing off the California coast on Christmas, and lived out of a cargo van for months on end.

In short, we've done a WHOLE LOT of stuff, and picking any one to write about here would be an injustice to the others. So, we'll just have to tell you about all of them when we meet :)

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Devin has been rock-climbing for 13 years. So if you're psyched to go climb (or just try it out if you're new to it), then he's your man!

Nicole has been a fitness trainer for over 10 years and is into all things involving staying in shape and moving your body. If you want to exhaust yourself with a varied workout, then you're talking to the right person.

And of course we both love meeting new people and trying to expand our own perspectives by listening to theirs. And, as it turns out, enjoying a delicious home cooked meal is the perfect situation in which to do this :)
