CURRENT MISSION

I am starting my second cycle touring trip solo! I plan on biking through New Zealand over the next couple of months. I flew here on August 24th and some friends of mine drove me from Auckland to Cape Reinga and that's where I've started. Looking forward to experiencing New Zealand from my handle bars!

ABOUT ME

A little bit about myself, I am 37 years old and work as a wild land fire fighter in Canada. I have traveled to a number of countries around world doing the back packing thing which I have truly enjoyed but now I have discovered cycle touring and I love it. So why not go on a 6 month tour of New Zealand on my bicycle!

I am a very passionate person, a lover of life and travelling has become a part of me. I thoroughly enjoy developing an understanding of new cultures, meeting new people, and having new experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Live your life without regrets. Take a chance and trust somebody. Being comfortable and doing less does not equal happiness. Don´t be afraid to try something new, by conquering your fears you gain a special kind of confidence.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am travelling so I will not be hosting, although I hope to when I return to Canada.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have limited experience with couch surfing. I only used it once in South America and have not hosted anybody as I don't have a couch!

兴趣

I love a challenge! I have hiked and climbed over 40 mountains around the world, completed 2 marathons, recently acuired my sky diving license, among many other things. I thoughly enjoy testing my limits, you learn so much about yourself when you do.
