ABOUT ME

I was born in Hillsboro, Oregon [just outside Portland]. Even though I love Oregon, I had to get out of the nest so I went to college at Syracuse University in New York. I studied abroad living in London and Madrid. Now I live in L.A.

I love being outside; hiking, swimming, fishing, backpacking, cycling, campfires, soccer, skiing, or just laying in the grass and relaxing. I play guitar, sing, and write music. I grew up playing sports and especially love soccer.

Traveling is a huge part of my life. I love history and culture, language and foods, drinks and skylines. I am an avid hiker and am enthralled by vistas and the feeling of conquering mountain peaks. I like meeting people who ask me questions about where I'm from and share their stories.

PHILOSOPHY

Not really a philosophy but I love stepping off a train, bus, or plane and being completely lost in a new city. But after leaving the same city knowing my way around, being friends with those I have met, and wanting to return.

Every person has something to teach and every person has something to learn.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed and met people for coffee and meals. Unfortunately, I cannot host people at my house because of the landlord living here, but I like meeting travelers for food and depending on my schedule can drive people around to tour LA! I would love to meet surfers living in L.A. or those who are passing through.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Every experience I have had has been awesome.
I am looking forward to future CouchSurfing experiences, whether I am meeting travelers in LA or traveling. Art walks, Sushi rolling, and bar crawls with couch surfers in LA!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I saw a production of The Music Man in Portland, Oregon that was done with cast entirely made up of performers with an intellectual disability. I consider this the most pure form of Art I have ever seen. Each person on stage was truly enjoying their opportunity to be on the stage and share the story with their friends and family in the audience.

Stories and lessons from my travels and mistakes I've made. I teach guitar lessons and love music, I can teach you some guitar! Practicing English and Spanish with my hosts and travelers.
Learn:
Ideas on yummy local places to eat or drink, funny stories from others travelers, I love learning different cultures and customs from around the world!
Share:
Music! Whether we a playing music together or talking about different bands we know I love music. Ideas on where to travel, what to bring, what to eat, what to see, lets share our stories.

I love meeting hosts from around the world to share stories about traveling, practicing different languages together, and making new friends who can come visit me in LA.
I am a decent cook and always love cooking dinner together. I am independent and low maintenance so if my hosts want to hang out and spend time together that is great, but if they are busy I totally understand and I can entertain myself.
