I am a PhD student in Electrical Engineering at University of Colorado Boulder. I try to get outside and also exercise as much as I can, which right now looks like running and rock climbing. I love travel and backpacking, and have also done a little bit of astrophotography (star photos 😉).

My studies and research keep me working hard and responsible, but I also love to have a lot of fun by going on weekend adventures or adding a couple days of exploratory travel to end of a conference trip.

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely love the Lord of the Rings movies. Apart from being exciting and engaging, the creators managed to portray Tolkien's deeper themes surprisingly well!

A favorite series of mine from my childhood is the "Guardians of Gahoole." To this day I have a soft spot for owls because of it.

Some artists I enjoy listening to are NEEDTOBREATHE, Twenty One Pilots, Survivor, Guns n' Roses, Cat Stevens, and Third Day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm planning on becoming a teacher someday and I have a knack for explaining science stuff, so if you happen to need help with math, physics, or engineering homework, I'm happy to help! Seriously - I love teaching so don't be scared to ask. I'm also up for just chatting about an interesting physics concept or doing my best to explain some confusing, science-y sentence. Since my Electrical Engineering degree is geared towards design of specialized devices, it unfortunately doesn't mean I can fix electrical appliances.
