Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because traveling is my singular life goal. After a very expensive backpacking trip, I realize couch surfing may be a better option as well as a way to meet new people. I like to travel alone, and I can be shy.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste is very eclectic when it comes to all three of those things. I like all kinds of music, minus country (spare Johnny Cash) and metal. My favorite books (and I could go on for days about this) are The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, The Harry Potter series, and my favorite author of all time is Charles Bukowski. My taste in movies ranges from James Bond (the newest ones, of course) to Wes Anderson to 80's movies to Harmony Korine to Luc Besson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the summer of 2015, I backpacked through Europe for two weeks, completely alone. It was my first time abroad and I made it without incident, experiencing some of the most rewarding and incredible moments of my life. I know many people do this, but in the states it's rare for a 19 year old to travel alone, so I'm really proud of this trip and I can't wait to see more.
