About Me
ABOUT ME
I like 'to do' lists, especially if I do the things that I wrote down.
I'm prone to bad bike accidents, but still enjoy long bike rides.
My partner, Brandon and I are embarking on a three month trip and will be visiting Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Nepal from January 9th, 2019- April 2019. We'd really like to learn more about cooking regional cuisine, local carving techniques, farming, music, or just have a fun hang :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to be far more active, but have stopped hosting in the past few years as I have had an influx of travelling musicians and friends on my couch.

Interests
A list of things I like in no particular order:
-Music. I work as a violinist and play in lots of bands in Vancouver. I was raised playing classical music but now mostly play in folk bands.
-Hiking, gardening, biking, mushroom picking, camping, glamping and other outdoorsy things
-Cooking, baking, reading, watching documentaries, coffee roasting, canning and preserving
-Exploring ways to live sustainably and live with more purpose and happiness (i.e. communal house projects, farmers markets, being conscious of how my actions affect society and the environment, alternative modes of transportation, and a vegetarian diet
-Dancing, funky clubs, small bars, house parties, concerts, and music festivals!
-carving and woodworking. I mostly make wooden spoons, spatulas, and cutting boards but am looking to learning to use a lathe.
