Overview
About Me
I started travelling when I was 8 years old, my grandmother took my mom and I down to Mexico for a couple weeks. Thats all it took for me to catch the travel bug, though I didn't know it yet. Fast forward to 2011. I left Canada with a one way ticket to Australia and was gone for little over a year and a half, during which I also visited/lived in SE Asia and New Zealand. Throughout this time I formed friendships and bonds which have stayed with me to this day. That trip was one, if not the best, learning experience of my life. It changed me profoundly, showing me what I am capable of and making me into the person I am today. It also gave me a glimpse of the wonders of this world and the people that live on it. In 2018 I left again, this time for 2 years. I spent the majority of my time in SE Asia, as the little taste I had gotten previously hadn't been enough. I did quite a few workaways during this trip. I loved the opportunity to integrate myself into an area a bit more and learn more about the locals, whilst forming strong bonds and friendships with the hosts and other volunteers.
Back in Canada, I am a journeyman electrician. Over the last few years though I have expanded my skills and branched out to become a general contractor and am currently renovating homes, from top to bottom.
In my spare time I enjoy practicing acro yoga, handstands and juggling. On weekends I love exploring the hiking trails around where I am located. I also quite enjoy cooking and am always interested in trying new foods and learning recipes!
I am Introverted, though once I get comfortable in a setting I can open up quickly. If you've read Linda Goodman's Sun Signs, find the Aquarious chapter and you will have a pretty good idea of what to expect from me. I am a Nelipot and given the opportunity will be barefoot 365 days of the year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am hoping to use Couchsurfing as a means to meet new people. As a couch sitter I am looking to get a local outlook on the area I am in. As a future couch hoster, I will use this platform to continue the amazing interactions I have had, and give back to this amazing community of people.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to Music, it really depends on my mood. I enjoy everything from classical to EDM and dubstep, the one exception to this being screamo which I'm not particularly fond of.
My movie tastes are all over the place as well. I love Disney, Pixar and most other animated movies. The Big Lebowski, The Green Mile, Wayne's World, and Space Jam are just a few which hold a special place from my younger years.
As I write this I am in the process of reading How to Change your Mind by Michael Pollan. I enjoy Fiction, Philosophy, Mystery, and Mythology, though those are only some of the genres which pique my interest. I always have a Fantasy or Sci-Fi series on the go as well, something to enjoy and pass the time without being too heavy. My Favourite series (At this time) is the King Killer Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss.
