Présentation
À propos de moi
I recently graduated from college, and I live in San Francisco and work as an engineer at Affirm. In my free time, I work on open source software, train for triathlons, and read. My idea of a perfect afternoon on any typical day is sitting in a cafe building software, sipping a matcha latte, and taking breaks by reading weird blogs.
I'm friendly and outgoing, but I also really like being alone. I often travel by myself, because it gives me the freedom to explore without a specific end goal. Ironically, it also means I often meet many more new people than if I were in a group.
I love discussing ideas and challenging my views of the world. My favorite people are those who change my mind and make me rethink previous assumptions. We will get along if you like diving deep into conversations, especially if you leave your ego behind (as much as possible).
I believe that nearly everything can be interesting, if you frame it correctly. In fact, my key interests are things that are usually considered boring – urban planning, personal finance, and public policy. If you are curious about why I find these topics so fascinating, I'll be happy to talk your ear off about them! And I'd love to learn about the topics that fall into this category of "surprisingly interesting" that you share with others, too.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I'm excited to join Couch Surfing, because it's a great opportunity to meet a wide variety of people who I might not otherwise meet if I traveled in a more conventional way. Also, I find that spending time with locals is one of the best ways to find the hidden gems of a new place, which you're much less likely to discover on your own if you're in town for only a few days.
I'd also love to host people here in San Francisco so I can share the hidden gems of my own hometown. I love showing people around my favorite parts of the city, and as a Bay Area native I can offer a particularly welcoming experience.
