ABOUT ME

G'day g'day, Devs me name.
I have recently celebrated my 21st Birthday in Amsterdam with friends i've met on my current exchange to Uppsala,Sweden for 2007. It still freaks me out to think that such opportunites are possible and now at the half way point of my abroad program - it is no understatement to say this year has lived up to expectations and will by far be the best year of my life.

At the beginning of the year, while still in Perth living with my family, i would describe myself as a happy go lucky, music loving, aussie bloke. Friendly, studious and considerate. 6 months of my life in Sweden and i'm still all of the above but so much more. I'm learning not only about who I am but who I want to become.

Meeting fellow students from all parts of the globe has opened my eyes to contrasts of lifestlyes, variations of personalities and ambitions and reinforced my personal philosophy to really enjoy life and experience the magical wonders the world has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got my first CS fix over the 07 summer where i surfed through prague and budapest. I have recently returned from a magical tour of iceland where all hosts where absolutely incredible!

I am currently living in a corridor environment where we would all be more than happy to have travellers drop by who are passing through sweden. So far i´ve hosted a top english bloke, and am awaiting any other requests that fit within my study timetable.

And when I return to Australia next year i will no doubt love to get my global travel fix through hosting people. If i'm stuck in Perth it'll be the next best thing.

Interests

travel- obviously. Hoping to really explore Scandinavia this year, learn the Swedish language to a conversational level.

Music - played the clarinet for 6 years and dabble on the keys. Attempting to teach myself the guitar at the moment, one chord at a time. Love having music on as a life soundtrack almost all day. But can also appreciate the importance and place of silence.

Love great discussions about anything and everything with good friends and family. Enjoy learning new recipes and cooking with mates.

Love being a kid with kids and laughing with them.

One thing i miss about Australia is the water. In perth I head to the beach every day in summer, Sail on the river every Sunday, and Scuba dive off the islands whenever I get the chance. waterbaby!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting the Taj Mahal was an out-of-world experience.
To me it represents the underlying beauty of a country so often criticised by the ill-informed.
