About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see a fair amount of everything in the world. I've got all of the US covered, now I'm looking to branch out!

ABOUT ME

I have always had a wanderlust since I was a child. It was probably due to the fact that my parents always promised to take the family on trips and never followed through. Once I was 18 and old enough to travel on my own, I never stopped. I can't thank my parents enough for restricting me at a young age so I could explode when I was old enough and appreciate all of the different cities and people I would meet.

I've explored dozens of cities all across the US and I'm eager to make the trek overseas to explore new cultures. Italy is my first destination, India will be next, Brazil in a few years and then maybe New Zealand. These trips can be expensive but I'm hoping that with couchsurfing, a creative mind, and tips from locals that I'm staying with, I can enjoy myself without going broke.

Some of my favorite moments while traveling:
+Drinking vodka with Russians in Toronto at the Red Bull Air Races
+ Getting invited to an abandoned rock quarry that was turned into a beautiful private lake by some locals in Virginia
+Sneaking into the Twins Day Parade dressed as a sailor with my friend in Ohio
+Climbing a small mountain in Denver
+Getting punched in the face for no reason at an underground club filled with angry, angry people in Los Angeles (it was a good story!)
+Being mistaken for a contractor and getting admittance to a skyscraper under construction in New York

I once stopped in the middle of the sidewalk for 18 minutes and knelt down to protect a worm from being stepped on by passing walkers. I didn't want to pick it up and move it though because I felt like if it survived this ordeal, it would be the closest thing to a near-death experience this worm would have and maybe it would live a long life and tell all of it's worm children about it someday.

And I operate my own Drive-In theatre.

Ok, thats a lot about me. If you want to know more please ask!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travel. I don't seek people out very much through Couchsurfing but I talk to strangers all the time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never formally couchsurfed but I have stayed with families of friends, friends of friends and once, with a stranger I met at a bar. I've always known someone who has known someone somewhere. Italy will be my first experience to really try couchsurfing out.

Interests

Movies from the 50's and above. Rock and Roll from the 70's and below. Cooking. Exploring. Jumping. Climbing. Soccer/futball. Painting. MEETING NEW PEOPLE.
