Overview
About Me
Originally from Central New York (4 hours west of NYC) and moved to Dallas in 2000. As an IT consultant, I have had to temporarily relocate to different cities on the East Coast having resettled back in Dallas TX in 2018. As i was traveling quite often back then a friend suggested I start using Couchsurfing to meet up with other travelers during that time.
Now I've hosted over 100 travelers (many multiple times) from all over the world during the past 8 years from my home and from resorts across the country when on vacation. I've met some amazing people and we've shared some great experiences and made many friends through the process.
We've toured local historical and cultural areas, visited popular local food joints, shared my cooking as well as enjoyed surfers traditional meals, constantly provided advice to a younger generation and in the process learning much from my guests as well.
After Covid and now having a puppy, my travels are substantially reduced. However I hope to still get out a couple times a year. And will still try to host from my place in Dallas as my availability permits.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Most of my friends are married with kids so have free time to host surfers and show you the highlights of the area. I also travel to many fun locations such as Vegas, New Orleans and Miami, and enjoy hosting at hotels on those trips as well. Made many friends through this site and look forward to meeting new people and making new memories.
Also, most of my couchsurfers love to play with and take my puppy Axel on walks which gives me a much needed break 😁
Adding a blog from one of my surfers.
