ABOUT ME

I am a mother, raised four kids on my own, a nana, a wife to david.I think I am open minded, free thinking and a slight rebel. I like meeting people as I love to talk. I have a wicked sense of humour. My taste in music tends toward alternative.Enjoy nature, fancy myself as creative. I am compasionate and caring. Once I'm all grown up around the age of 60yr's then I'll start growing down again. I intend to become difficult as I grow old so Iv'e started praticing now. My husband David is the sweetest most gentle man in existance. He is impossible not to like and he will be really embarrased if he reads this. He is much quieter than me, yet can get on stage and perform his poetry.His art is amazing and quirky and our grandkids adore him. My children think we are weird in a nice sort of way, they call us "freaks of nature" isn't that great!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in treating others as I want to be treated. I like to make a positive difference in my world. I am so thankful for my life and the good things in it.Be honest and real. Be compassionate. Know the difference between want and need. Be open to other world views.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At present,by sharing with people about C.S. Hope to interact more, i.e.join groups. We host surfers as much as we can. We like to show our lovely wee spot off when work committments allow.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are no longer couchsurfer virgins having hosted a few people now. We have surfed only the once and we were hosted by a lovely couple in New Plymouth. We walked Tongaero with C.S.,I managed without getting too grumpy even, amazing. We have really enjoyed hosting most of the time but have felt a bit used by one or two surfers freeloading lately.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I couldn't think of anything specific. Then it's how you view life. The beauty of nature ie- the glaciers in sth island.Watching the sun come up. Seeing people dancing at 7am at a festival. Having my babies, watching my grandchildren being born. Conecting with a dying person in a spiritual way not tied to religen.Update, riding and swiming with an elephant and David in Pai, Thailand.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I am getting wisdom through experience. I tell with death and dying in my work so I feel I have some meaningful insights into human spirit. I love to share what life has taught me and encourage others so they may not make all the mistakes I did, of course they will listen as much as I did.DON'T LISTEN TO TALK BACK RADIO, IT NARROWS THE MINDS OF THE ALREADY NARROW MINDED.
