About Me

CURRENT MISSION

We have the journey of our life!!

ABOUT ME

We have our home in Watertwon, next to Cambridge, Maasachusetts (USA).
Before, we have lived in south of France for over a year, being employed in a beautiful Bed & Breakfast (Mas des Poètes in Chantemerle-lès-Grignan).

Danny has a Master's degree of Science in biology and is particularly interested in tiny fungi that parasitize beetles (Laboulbeniales). He is publishing articles in scientific magazines. He has been approved for his PhD program at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts & Sciences in Cambridge, Massachusetts (USA).
Sarah also has a Master's degree of Science in biology and she is Master in Environmental Science. At the moment she is employed at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, teaching chemistry and environmental science to tenth grade students.

PHILOSOPHY

"There comes a time in your life when you have to let go all the pointless drama and the people who create it and surround yourself with people who make you love so hard that you forget the bad and focus solely on the good. After all, life is too short to be anything but happy." Quote Karl Marx (1897-1985).

We are two open souls, who (try to) live life at maximum. After all, life is too short to spend time on the negative. We set for many different objectives, but when an objective isn't reached we can easily put the disillusionment aside to focus on other things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are just starting to explore this amazing possibility. A bar meeting in Bruges made a very good impression on Sarah. We are both very interested in new, 'alternative' ideas like CouchSurfing.
Our first 'real' CouchSurfing experience was in Costa Rica, where we visited both CouchSurfers in La Fortuna and Londres. We had a great time!

Interests

We are both biologists with a huge interest in biodiversity, nature, our environment and the oceans. The both of us do not eat any fish. Sarah is vegetarian, Danny almost:-)

Danny is also freelance reporter for different sources. He mostly writes popular science articles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most fantastic things we've done is our removal to the south of France in 2011. Every day of our stay in Chantemerle-lès-Grignan, we have benefited from this decision. Getting to know this amazing country, getting to know its inhabitants, has been an enormous, irreplaceable experience!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Slovakia, Switzerland, United States
