About Me

Hei, I'm Judith. 29 years, currently doing a PhD in german literature, I did some studies in math and philosophy, too. I'm interested in culture, like music, classical and non-classical, literature and especially cinema/films... I may appear a bit shy but I really like meeting new people and it's very easy to get along with me. Sometimes I talk a lot (i.e. too much), sometimes not at all. I’m independant and not really good in coming to decisions. I love to cook and to eat, and will definitely share both of that with everyone. I don’t want to and I can’t get along with nationalism, racism and/or sexism.

Music, Movies, and Books

movies with much dialogue and less action, jim jarmusch cinema, coen brothers, wes anderson, kelly reichardt french films.

music with or without action. klezmer! piano music and indie-stuff. the beatles and the doors. and bob dylan. and loads more.

books - fiction but not fantasy. no trolls, no hobbits, no wizards. kafka. mann. bernhard. stamm. perec. queneau. short stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first mathematical proofs were really special experience. And travelling to hungary to play music with students was great, too. And just recently I played the accordion in the street with my sister for the first time - looking forward to continue this kind of playing, lot of fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I got some recipes to share - mostly vegetarian. Although I often don’t have them in mind. I can show a bit how to play the accordion. Translations between German, English and French might be a possible thing to do. And I can teach how to knit and crochet.

I’m always interested in learning new recipes, especially from all over the world. I’d really like to improve my wine-tasting-skills, much work to do there.
