About Me

I am from Galicia, where I grew up and studied until I moved to Germany, where I worked for several years. Now I live in Toledo since I work here as a foreign language teacher.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard wonderful couchsurfing stories and I am really looking forward to experiencing Couchsurfing myself, to meeting new people and places as well.

Interests

I really love learning and practising foreign languages, travelling around, getting to know new people, other cultures and different viewpoints.

I like jogging, Zumba and after so many years thinking in taking up Latin dances, I am now learning to dance salsa and bachata!

I like being in the nature and enjoying beautiful and peaceful landscapes.

I also love trying new dishes!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: folk, rock, pop, classical... depending on my mood, the day, the event...

Movies: I don't have a favourite movie, but I really like those films that show you how people from other places live/think or those that make you have a good time and make you smile.

Books: those that teach you something from other cultures or make you reflect on your own life and experience. Some of the last ones: Made in Galiza, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, La ridícula idea de no volver a verte, The Last Jew...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As an exchange student abroad I made friends with a lovely Indian girl with whom I attended a German course for only three weeks. Then she invited me to her wedding in her home country, a wonderful experience I will never forget! I must admit that living with her family for that week was kind of a culture shock, though, but really worthwhile!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn more about people and cultures from all around the world, as well as telling them about my own, and sharing new experiences and good moments.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Time, Galician/Spanish language exchange, a good conversation and a coach when available.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Spain
