ABOUT ME

My name is Lorena Hollander and this is my personal profile, as well as my band's profile. The band is called Diafanes (which means "transparent" in Greek) and we're an eight-year old band from Sao Paulo, Brazil. We have traveled around the United States three times and we're coming back in March 2011 for our 4th American Tour and we'll play at great events like the SXSW and NCBF.

Besides singing, playing the guitar and the koto (Japanese Harp) in the band, I also paint and photograph. I have done many art shows and in 2010 I did a big exhibition at 6 different subway stations here in Sao Paulo.

We have used couchsurfing a lot on our tours, and I've used couchsurfing a lot traveling by myself in the USA and Europe. I also have hosted some people at my house in Brazil and met a lot of couchsurfers in meetings and CS events.

I host, attend meetings and I surf.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Already couchsurfed through 25 states in the United States in a tour with my band in 2007. It was a lifetime experience, especially because of all the great people we met.

I also used couchsurfing a lot traveling by myself and attended many CS events worldwide.
