ABOUT ME

I grew up in Southern California. After living in San Francisco for the last 8+ years, I decided to come to Barcelona for 6 months to know what it is like to live in Europe; Barcelona has been an amazing experience but it's only the beginning! Now I know have been infected by the travel bug and want to continue exploring other places around the world.

I'm an open-minded individual; I love a good conversation where there might be disagreements, I like meeting people from different places and hearing their point of view. At a party I would be the one who is quiet at the beginning but ends up dancing in the middle of the floor with everyone in the room. I can be chill and sociable at the start and end up in a disco until dawn if the music is right.. I am very real and mostly transparent, but I also like to play..

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is happens when you are in the midst of making plans to live." I state this as my philosophy as a reminder to myself. I am constantly living in my head, thinking of what is to come, that I have to remember that life happens all around me and I must be aware of it or else I will miss it..

I'm new to CS but I think it's amazing- to encourage exploring people and cultures, languages, and contribute to a genuinely global society :) I like anything which involves an exchange of ideas and openness..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Several years ago I stayed with friends in Brighton, England. I did some artwork for their vintage clothing shop in exchange for a 3 week stay at their home; it was wonderful and I have visited them again since.

I've been having fun experimenting with a cheap Lomographic camera I just bought, the vintage-looking images are great fun.. I love to cook!! It's very important way for me to connect with friends, and its also fun.. I also love good music and going dancing.. was taking some dance classes from a friend recently.. i absolutely love it.. i find the need to move makes me feel most alive..

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Music: my playlists are all over the place: old funk, jazz, warm electronica, brazilian, afro-beat, ambient dub, retrorock, acoustic, and of course vintage soul.. Last books read: the Botany of Desire, the Life of Pi, the Kite Runner; Amusing Ourselves to Death (about obsession with entertainment and how it has changed society), and the Company (a history of the corporation). I like to read fiction and non-fiction concurrently for some odd reason.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

I participated in an incredible phenomenon of the week-long birth and death of a city made of art+music in the middle of the Nevada desert called Burning Man. If you are ever in San Francisco towards the end of August, I highly recommend it. It becomes a mass exodus to this virtual city like none other.

Did I mention I'm a great cook? was vegetarian for years but now i don't believe in classifying myself anything. mainly interested in healthy eating, for me sharing an elaborate meal of fresh whole food is a gift from the heart. I can also speak Spanish, design websites, dance Samba and knit, but not all once so don't get your hopes up..
