Hi there, I'm a curious traveller exploring new countries in Asia, the people and the ocean. As scientist, I did research on marine life and find the life underwater in Southeast Asia so amazing! This is why I want to explore this beautiful area more! Also, I'm a keen sportswoman and happy to be swimming, diving, climbing, running, cycling...which is most fun together with some people :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Apart from the ocean, I'm fascinated by the super friendly, open-minded people I meet all the time! Couchsurfing helps me to get to know people, their stories and culture, and of course their food! I love to try out food and learn how to cook and what to eat wherever I travel. Most importantly, I'm looking forward to have a fun and relaxed time together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helping at a turtle and coral conservation project in Malaysia. Thanks to a great team effort, we protected many turtle nests, planted out corals onto a damaged reef and helped to reduce plastic waste in a small island village. I met wonderful people in the village and at the project, who made it such an amazing time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn Bahasa Indonesia and I'm happy to help people learning English or German at the same time. Same for cooking and gardening :)
As ocean lover, I am also keen to learn more about marine life and conservation in every area I travel to and am happy to help out with any activity (e.g. with a beach clean-up) or share my experience.
