I am an aupair in looking foward to visiting amazing places in the United States and the world! I would love to host people in my home country Colombia!

Luego de ser aupair en Estados Unidos, quiero vivir grandes aventuras en Latinoamerica. Siempre he soñado con viajar a lo largo y ancho de nuestro continente para conocer los más hermosos paisajes y su gente siempre bonita. Soy estudiante de licenciatura en idiomas en Bogotá Colombia. Actualmente estoy cursando mi tercer año. Me encanta aprender idiomas, la enseñanza, la lingüística, la historia y sobre todo... el arte. Me encanta la pintura y no tengo problema con caminar museos por horas. Conocer museos en mi país y otros países me emociona mucho, cada cultura es tan diferente y única. También me gusta la literatura y la música.
Quisiera ser más deportiva de lo que soy pero sí intento salir a trotar, montar bici, bailar mucho<3 y cuando se presenta la ocasión jugar fútbol. En pocas palabras, lo que se me presente de que se vea divertido lo intentaré.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and meeting new people! I always wanted to learn languages and travel all over the world. When I started learning English I realized the world of possibilities I had in front of me. Being able to communicate in other language changed my perspective of life, people and the world. I'm looking forward to go to many countries, meet people, learn more languages, make friends and create connections from all over the place. I find it the most enriching experience to get to know about other cultures (the good and the bad) as well as share mine. I'd love to show people the places in Bogotá that make me fall in love with it over and over again.

Quiero crear conexiones en todo el mundo. Simplemente tomar un café y hablar con personas nuevas es una de las cosas que más disfruto hacer. Conocer lugares y culturas implica conocer personas nativas de dichos lugares. Couchsurfing es una oportunidad para hacer eso y más, quiero conocer amigos y compartir aún cuando estemos de vuelta en nuestros países.
Me gustaría compartir mi cuidad Bogotá con personas que no la conocen. Cuando alguien se muestre interesado, yo estaría dispuesta a mostrar los lugares que me enamoran de mi ciudad.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite kind of music is salsa and similar genres such as bachata, merengue, cumbia and even reguetón,. But I absolutely love other kinds such as pop, rock, indie, clasic music.... English, Spanish or other languages I'm open to learn about new music or artists.
I always love a good comic movie.
I love literature. My favorite author is Fernando Soto Aparicio (a colombian writer). I enjoy reading Borges and Cortazar. In English I love Edgar Allan Poe, Beckett, Wild and others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to the States not knowing what I was getting myself into. My Engligh wasn't good at the time and I stuggled adapting at first but I learned fast and I ended up loving major cities like New York, New Orleans and San Francisco. I had no family there at all and it felt like I had to start from the beggining. I made it and I meet the most amazing people, friends that I will keep forever.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching is what I wanna do for a job in the future. I would love to do some cultural exchange to teach my language. Spanish is such a beautiful language. I would also love to get to practice or start learning other languages as well. I would love to share tipical colombian foods, customs, expressions, music, dance and festivals!

What I Can Share with Hosts

If my hosts want to travel around the city I would love to show them around. There are many art and historic places in Bogotá that are worth seeing. I know very nice views of the city, the best coffe places and the best museums. Whatever is their plan if they want my company or just advise of where to go and how I would be willing to help.
Other than that, my family are very open to new people and love to host. They would get to see a normal crazy latin family (salsa lovers by the way) and our lifes in this beautiful country.
