About Me

My name is Diana Pontalti Giordani. I am a 20 years old girl from South of Brazil but I live in Athens, Texas since January, 2016.

I play volleyball for Junior College and I am enjoying this opportunity of living here in US to travel around and learn more about myself and life. Being an athlete doesn't mean I am competitive in life... no, I want all of us to have fun and be happy!!!

I am a very tropical kind of person. I love being at the beach tanning, love outdoors, the nature, sun, trails, warm weather...

During my free time I love to listen music, travel, study about philosophy/life/yoga and meet interesting people.
I am very positive about life and I really hope that this app will bring me a lot of good experiences as well as good friendships!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I am planning on my first solo trip. I want to make sure that I have somewhere to stay around good people. Keep mom free of worries, you know?!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite kind of music is of course Brazilian music. Also, I like surf music, electronic, lounge, jazz and indie.

I'm not really a movie person, but I like to watch documentaries and spiritual movies.

About books, I love "Vivas Veredas" from Vítor Isensee. It's a poem book from a Brazilian author. And my last trip to visit my family in Brazil I forgot the book I've been reading on the airplane, that was "Wheels of Life" by Anodea Judith.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are a few things that I consider simple but amazing things I've done so: I had a monkey as a pet, I promoted a manifest when I was in high school, I've snowboarded.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to first listen about people's experiences in life, learn something about it and then, share mine. I would love to learn about the practice of yoga/meditation and maybe join in.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When I come back to Brazil, after graduation, I can offer a place to my hosts stay back home. But now, that is not an option.
