Overview
About Me
I am a widow, mother of two sons, grandmother of 4 beautiful grandchildren, I have a range of interests which include caring for others in my community both elderly and school age.
I mentor in the local school and participate in my local church.
I am a Coeliac ( gluten - wheat/oats/rye ) unfortunately, but I can look after myself.
I have lived most states in Australia, working mostly in Victoria but in numerous industries, I have been involved in Rotary, Scouting and supported numerous charities.
I live in a small fishing village an hour from Melbourne on the Mornington peninsula -westernport side, the Gateway to Westernport and Hastings Port. with ferries to Phillip Island and French Island nearby.
We have 3 marine parks in the area, surf and swimming beaches not far away, we are also part of UNESCO's Ecological and Biosphere Reserves. We have wineries, sculpture parks, galleries, chocolatier's, restaurants, antiques, walking tracks, Equestrian studs, fishing and local produce.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: is a variety from classical, musical theater, some country, some pop and recent artists as well as the old favorites such as Abba, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel. easy listening.
Movies: the romantics, historical or historically based, documentaries particularly about countries - their food, way of life and history.
Books: biographies set in period time, some romance, some crime based stories, or based on one of my interests.
I have lots of cook books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was one of the first Female Presidents in my Rotary District 9790 and one of the few in Australia at the time.
I went to Japan by myself on long service leave and immersed myself in as much culture as could at the time, with
no experience in Japanese.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share tips on cooking, gardening, craft and various other areas. I am always willing to learn and stretch my
areas of knowledge and will tackle most things. My motto is " can do, or will try"
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would like to share my experiences and those of my hosts. I have a happy disposition and I am willing to assist with cooking, gardening etc. love dogs, cats and children.
