About Me

I'm an introvert girl, with a real passion for literature and all forms of art. Ok, this is awkward, I don't know what to say about me, so I'll fill in the description a friend wrote for me, when he heard that I'm making an account on Couchsurfing: "I'm a strange (dark-humoured), intellectually stimulating person from west Romania..." or " I'm a kickass girl with great attitude and intellectual depth."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to easily meet people from all-over the world, people with similar tastes like me, people from whom I will have things to learn or with whom I'll share diverse cutural and artistic opinions./ I can't receive people at my place because I've been living in dorms until now, because I'm a student.

Music, Movies, and Books

I particularly love russian, serbian and south-american literature. My favorite writers/books are: Milorad Pavić (The Khazar Dictionnary), Dostoievsky (The Brothers Karamazov), G.G. Márquez (The Autumn of Patriarch), Augusto Roa Bastos (I, the Supreme), J.L. Borges (Aleph), M. Cărtărescu (Nostalgia), M. Proust (In Search of Lost Time), L. Tolstoi (Resurrection), Thomas Mann (The Magic Mountain), M. Șișkin (The Light and the Dark) and many, many others.
Favorite movie/directors: Ingmar Bergman (Cries and Whispers), Andrey Tarkovsky (Stalker), Krzysztof Kieslowski (The Double Life of Veronique), A. Zvyagintsev (The Banishment), S. Paradjanov (The Color of Pomegranates), K. Zanussi (Illumination), A. Jodorowsky (The Holy Mountain), D. Lynch (Inland Empire) and many others.
My musical tastes are quite miscellanous. I like post-punk music, coldwave (Nick Cave, Joy Division, Lebanon Hanover, She Past Away, Linea Aspera, Утро , etc). Recently, I discovered jazz music. Oh, and.. I've almost forgotten: i listen to classical music, too (Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Chopin, Schubert, Rogalsky, etc).
